Talk on Decision Making
We invited a guest speaker from HKOU to give us a talk about "Decision Making", which helps our mentees to understand more on how to make critical or important decision during our career development in our future.
RIASEC Personality Test
The result of RIASEC Personality Test could help mentees to find their potential career path in accordance with their personality. Also, mentors will also share how their personality traits matched with their chosen majors.
Sharing Sessions
Mentees are given a chance to share what they have gained and learnt from the programme. Mentors would also give feedback and suggestions for their mentee's future development and provide them with encouragement .
Complete the post-test questionnaire
We will compare the results from the questionnaire in the first and last session. Mentees and mentors will also rate all activities to see if they can help with the exploration and future plannings in the evaluation forms for later improvement.
What is RIASEC Personality Test ?
Holland’s RIASEC of Vocational Personalities Test provides a hexagon framework with the existing connection between six personalities types (Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional) and six parallel environments. Meanwhile, Holland’s codes are currently assigned to thousands of careers in the Occupational Information Network (O*NET) (Reardon, Bullock & Meyer, 2007, p, 262). Therefore, students can get a general picture of their job preferences and personalities easily.

This personality test provides a general picture of their personal qualities. Previous researchers pinpointed the positive correlation between identity development and vocational decision making (Vondracek, Schulenberg, Skorikov, Gillespie, & Wahlheim, 1995). Last but not least, these test results can match their interests and specialities to relevant occupations. It provides references for students to consider more potential choices and facilitates their future plans which leads to a clearer direction.
